Stanley London® Small Gimbaled Boxed Compass with Hand Inlaid Compass Rose Retail Price: $88.00 $58.00 - $66.00 each (Min Order 100 pcs) The Stanley London® Small Boxed Compass with Hand Inlaid Compass Rose is a beautiful reproduction of an antique gimbaled brass compass in a beautifully inlaid hardwood box.  Hand inlaying hardwood is an old time-honored art that requires considerable talent, patience, and precision to create a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece.  The inlayer must chisel out the surface of the wood in the shape of the design that will be inlaid, and then precisely hand cut each individual piece of thin wood and fit it into the hollowed out section. This hardwood box features an inlaid compass rose made from four different species of beautiful hardwood.  As each compass rose is inlaid into the hardwood box using similar hand tools to those used 200 years ago, each compass is unique and will have slight variations. The 2 5/8-inch (6.7 cm) diameter compass is fully gimbaled with a solid brass gimbal set.  The gimbaled brass compass is protected by a glass cover.  The corners of the hardwood box have lighter hardwood splines to offer additional strength and support.  The hardwood case is 4 5/8 inches (11.7 cm) square, 3 5/16 inches (8.4 cm) tall, and the compass weighs 1 pound 5 ounces (595 grams).  This compass can be ordered with a custom solid brass plaque to be mounted on the front and/or inside lid of the box.  A plaque on the inside lid is best for longer personalized messages up to 12 lines with a maximum of 7 words per line, and custom plaques usually do not delay shipping of an order.  This boxed compass makes a beautiful addition to a nautical collection or executive's desk.

Stanley London® Nautical Boxed Quartz Clock Retail Price: $99.00 $59.00 - $69.00 each (Min Order 100 pcs) This beautiful Stanley London® Boxed Quartz Clock is a modern reproduction of an antique nautical clock.  An accurate timepiece is required for determination of the ship's location at sea using celestial navigation.  Before the development of extremely accurate chronometers, only the latitude could be calculated.  With precise clocks, the ship's longitude could also be determined, however an error of only one second of time is equal to a 1/4 nautical mile error at the equator. The clock features a highly-accurate quartz movement and is housed in a handsome satin finish mahogany wood case.  When opened, the clock platform hinges up toward the viewer for quick and convenient reading.  The hand crafted box has elegant brass hinges and fittings, and sits on four felt-covered brass feet so as not to damage your furniture.  The Boxed Quartz Clock is perfect for the dresser or adorning your office. A custom engraved brass plaque with up to five lines of text, or about 40 words, can be mounted on the front of the hardwood case.  Note that it is not possible to mount a plaque on the inside lid because of the exposed clock movement.  The face of the clock is protected with glass, and the quartz clock is powered by a single standard pen-light AA battery.  The boxed clock measures 6 inches (15.2 cm) square, and 3 5/8 inches (9.2 cm) tall, and weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces (1 kilogram).  The brass clock bezel measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) in diameter and the clock face measures 2 5/8 inches (6.7 cm) in diameter.
