A small lever on the side of the compass operates a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass bearing when carrying the compass.
The compass measures 1 7/16 inches (3.7 cm) in diameter and 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) thick.
This compass is beautifully crafted from solid brass, and polished to a mirror-like shine.

Your personalized inscription up to 18 words can be engraved on the front and the back of the compass.
